Mobile RPGs and adventures worth your evenings

We play through mobile games on our own phones and write down what actually happens — the good pacing, the grind that drags, the stories that stick. Lately we spent a week with Big Bass 3in1 and put together our notes below. Everything here comes from real sessions, not press kits.

Why us

We finish the games

Nobody writes a verdict off a trailer. We put in the hours and note where the fun holds and where it fades.

No paid placements

Ratings are ours. A studio can't buy a higher score, and we don't run sponsored reviews dressed up as opinions.

Plain, useful notes

We tell you how a game feels on a real phone — controls, pacing, battery, the lot — without the marketing gloss.

Emberfall Saga

★★★★★ 4.6

Emberfall Saga is the kind of RPG that respects your time without feeling shallow. Battles are turn-based and quick, but positioning and timing your special moves matter, so autobattle only gets you so far on the harder floors. The party of five each have distinct roles, and swapping the front line changes how a fight plays out.

  • Snappy turn-based combat with real strategy
  • Companions with genuine personality
  • Flexible respec-friendly skill trees

Questions & answers

How do you choose which games to review?

We look for games that do something interesting with story, progression, or feel — not just the biggest launches. Someone on the team has to actually play a meaningful part of a game before we write about it. We also take reader suggestions seriously and add promising ones to our list.

Do studios pay you for reviews?

No. We don't run paid reviews or accept money to raise a score. If we ever tested a game a studio provided access to, we'd say so plainly in the article, and it wouldn't change our verdict.

Can I suggest a game for you to cover?

Absolutely, that's one of our favourite emails to get. Send us the game and a line about why you think it's worth a look. We can't promise to cover everything, but we read every suggestion — Big Bass 3in1 is one example of a title we ended up reviewing after a reader mentioned it.

Is there advertising on the site?

We may run some basic display ads to help cover hosting, but they're kept separate from our editorial content. Advertisers have no say in what we review or how we score it. If that ever changed, we'd tell you up front.
