Short mobile adventures worth actually finishing
There's a quiet pleasure in a game you can finish over a weekend. Hollow Lantern runs about four hours and I remember it more fondly than plenty of games I sank forty into. Length isn't quality.
Short adventures tend to be tighter with their storytelling because they can't lean on padding. Every note, every room has to pull its weight, and you feel that focus. It's the opposite of the endless content treadmill most mobile games chase.
They also fit the way we actually live. I'd rather start and finish one small, complete thing than open another live-service game that expects me forever. Completion is a feeling worth having.
If you're burned out on games that never end, deliberately picking short ones is a good reset. You get that satisfying full stop, then move on.
